Hvammsvík Hot Springs is the perfect place to escape the everyday routine, only 45 minutes from downtown Reykjavík. We welcome groups of family and friends looking to make new memories in a breathtaking setting. Soak in our natural hot springs, explore the estate, or come together in our newly renovated Barn which is ideal for private dinners, celebrations, or simply enjoying time together. Our facilities are best suited for groups of 10–100 people, with space for up to 152 guests in the hot springs.
Hot Springs
We offer eight natural hot springs of various sizes and temperatures located at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean in Whalefjord. Enjoy the hot springs for as long as you wish with full access to our private showers and changing rooms, our swim-up bar, steam room, and the ocean itself. We also have fun activities such as paddle boarding, ocean swimming, introductory sessions to Wim Hof techniques, and so much more included with your admission ticket!
Groups of 10 or more can submit a booking request, and we’ll provide a quote.

Accommodation
Hvammsvík offers 12 houses, giving your group both space and comfort in a truly special setting.
We have four spacious houses that are perfect for families or groups who want to stay together under one roof. We also offer eight newly built Artist Lodges, intimate and stylish cabins designed for two, ideal for couples or individuals seeking a cozy retreat.
To make the most of your group experience, including exclusive access to our Barn House and Temple for celebrations, private dining, gatherings, and group activities we require a full booking of all 12 houses. This ensures your group enjoys Hvammsvík at its very best, with complete privacy and flexibility.





The Barn
The Barn includes a recreation room with pool and table tennis tables, darts, board games, and even a grand piano.
It offers first-class facilities for all kinds of group events, from milestone celebrations to company retreats. To host private dining, gatherings, and group activities in the Barn, we require a full booking of all 12 houses. This way, your group can experience Hvammsvík at its very best, with complete privacy and flexibility. If you’d like a dining experience, we’re happy to recommend trusted third-party catering services.
Guests staying at the Hvammsvík retreat also have access to our newly renovated gym, located just beneath the Barn.

Hiking

Paddle boards are available during the summer and are included with your admission ticket, as long as the weather conditions permit. Please ask our staff for more details

Wim Hof Method

Ocean Swimming
Want to try swimming in the ocean? Come join a short introduction to ocean swimming for beginners under the supervision of experienced ocean swimmers.

Atlas challenge
Try an ancient Icelandic lifting challenge, where you attempt to carry one of three stones over your shoulder. Learn more about the challenge and the price you can win to succeed.

Stormur Bistro
After a soak in the hot springs, we recommend trying some delicious dishes made from nourishing ingredients inspired by our surroundings. Our menu is inspired by the Whale Fjord and features locally sourced ingredients.

Fishing
Fishing is available at our pond for all guests staying at our houses. Equipment is provided in the houses. Please contact info@hvammsvik.com for any inquiries.

Elf Rock
Visit the elf rock also known as Steðji in Icelandic. It is a short 5 minute drive from Hvammsvik.

Berry Picking
If you love walks and lying around in soft moss and grass, berry picking (or in Icelandic: Berjamór) is definitely a pastime for you.

Kayaking
Kayaking is available exclusively through our partnered kayaking tours, which are set up by the Atlantic Ocean. These events will be announced on our social channels and via email.
