How to find us
276 Mosfellsbær, Iceland
At Hvammsvík we are passionate about art and design and strive to give all kinds of art a home, either permanently or just for a short period of time in a performance or exhibition.
As a part of the creation of Hvammsvík Hot Springs we have also had the privilege to collaborate with some amazing designers, creators and artists in their respective fields. Their involvement in the project has helped lift it to another level. We couldn’t be happier!
Shoplifter has created a custom art piece for our bar area. The work is inspired by and created from material that has ties to the sea and fishing culture of Iceland’s shores.
Shoplifter / Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir is one of Iceland’s leading contemporary artist and represented Iceland at the Venice Biennale in 2019.
Bjarni Viðar Sigurðsson has created custom made ceramics for our Bar & Bistro at Hvammsvík Hot Springs.
Bjarni is know for drawing inspiration for his work from the Icelandic landscape. For the pieces he created for us he incorporated a part of the land into the ceramics, by mixing sand from the black sand beaches of Hvammsvík into the glaze. Each individual piece is unique and oh so beautiful.
No need to worry if you forgot to pack your swimwear – We got you covered!
We paired up with Icelandic fashion designer Helga Lilja to create the most beautiful swimwear for us at Hvammsvík.
Nordic Angan – an essential oil distillery that creates fragrances from wild Icelandic flora – helped us capture the scent of Hvammsvík. By capturing the essence of the native plant sources on site, the Hvammsvík signature scent was born and has been infused into the nourishing hair and body wash available at Hvammsvík Hot Springs.
If you want to carry a little bit of Hvammsvík with you back home, you can buy a room spray with our signature scent, as well as a handcrafted nourishing soap bar for hair and body. The scent will take you right back to your Hvammsvík experience.
The products are meticulously handcrafted in Iceland in small batches using traditional techniques to ensure freshness. Local ingredients are sourced where possible and packaging kept to a minimum, to reduce the environmental impact.
Studio miklo created a beautiful light sculpture for Hvammsvík. The color and form is inspired by the nature in the area and the custom made light contains a stone from the Hvammsvík beach.
Studio miklo is a collective established in 2020 by Helga Björk Ottósdóttir and Hjördís Gestsdóttir. Their work straddles between the spheres of ceramic sculpture, textile and interior design.
