Hörður Ágústsson (1922–2005) was one of Iceland’s most significant artists, a versatile artist, designer, teacher, and scholar. He played a major role in shaping Icelanders’ understanding of visual art, form, and architecture, exerting a broad influence through his works, writings, and teaching. His work was deeply rooted in the ideas of geometric abstraction and the interplay of colors and forms.
